Our Social Impact: Providing Transformative Experiences for Teens in Foster Care
Building communities: at the core of Mintaka’s mission
In addition to our core work of building corporate culture, Mintaka uses a portion of its profits each year to host wilderness survival camps for teens in foster care.
We named our company Mintaka, after one of the stars in the constellation Orion’s belt.
Rooted in nature, the name Mintaka reminds us of the infinite possibilities that come from building communities.
But Mintaka isn’t a single star—it’s actually a star system, with multiple stars that orbit each other.
This is our dream for Mintaka the company as well.
We want to create a symbiotic relationship between corporations and the foster care community, through mentoring, internships, and scholarships for those teens who have participated in Mintaka’s programming.
